Canon Law 752 in Catholicism: "the Christian faithful" are required to submit their minds and wills to all doctrines declared by the Pope, or the college of bishops, and to be careful to avoid anything that disagrees with those doctrines.
Atheistic Militant Dogma: When working in the lab one must bring the mind with all it's thoughts and conclusions into subjection with naturalism...No ID allowed!
Less Dogma From An Evolutionist:
Looking for evidence of design in the natural world isnt itself unscientific it would even be big and fascinating news.
There is a striking similarity between militant atheistic dogma, and militant religious cult dogma. They in fact have similar objectives. Each one is fighting for the minds of the people into thinking their particular way without being independent. Militant atheists make it clear to the rest of the world, their main goal as Dawkins puts it, is to "kill religion" because they claim "science" has disproved the existence of God. This belief is promoted by such observations as the word "God" doesn't appear in the U.S. Constitution. So they built up a whole doctrine of dogma around it, which also includes making it against the law to show any reference to God in the founding fathers speeches and their writings in the public schools. The militant atheists are generally very small in numbers, but have a huge influence in public schools and Universities. The ACLU also helps promote the goals of the militant godless through various threat of lawsuits or lawsuits themselves. Many within this small group, rely on taxpayer funding to support their work, and in most cases, their cause. The internet is another avenue for militant atheists, as the debate for intelligent design grows as new scientific discoveries are made, the more they take to the blogs and write books.
Totally Blind Faith in Naturalism
In any group, it is possible to find what is known as "bandwagon jumpers" which make decisions based solely on their emotions. While the notion of having a lot of faith in naturalism is true, it is a myth to say all militant atheists come to their conclusions through godless science or any science at all. I believe many who are hanging out with this particular group at atheistic conferences around the country indeed know this is the case. In fact it's been observed by a fairly known science writer named; Gordy Slack, from Oakland, California. He writes and I quote, " A few years ago I covered a conference of the American Atheists in Las Vegas. I met dozens of people there who were dead sure that evolutionary theory was correct though they didnt know a thing about adaptive radiation, genetic drift, or even plain old natural selection. They came to their Darwinism via a commitment to naturalism and atheism not through the study of science. Theyre still correct when they say evolution happens. But Im afraid theyre wrong to call themselves skeptics unencumbered by ideology. Many of them are best described as zealots. " One can also make the observation that many creationists know more about evolution than these "zealots" described here.
Militant Atheists Claim Ownership in the Educational System
Despite some atheists who are willing to admit the public schools are owned by US taxpayers (at least in principle) but in fact many believe strongly it's really belongs exclusively to them. In couldn't be more clearer than in an e-mail from the Smithsonian by Frederick Schram to Rafael Lemaitre dated 9-1-04 at 1:29am. He writes and I quote; "This is truly frightening!!! I cannot believe it has come down to this. Scientists have been perfectly willing to let these people alone in their churches. But now it looks like these people are coming out and invading our schools, biology classes, museums and now our professional journals."
His alarming statement came from one article published in the Smithsonian newspaper which not only had a different conclusion from the scientific data other than evolution but the one who wrote the piece is a critic of evolution. We will get more into the subject of censorship, and requiring certain beliefs in the elite scientific community later on. But it's interesting to note, Frederick actually believes the schools, museums and professional journals belong exclusively to the naturalistic godless crowd of thought.
PZ Meyers: A Spokesperson for Militant Atheism
Many Christians today do not know who this man is or the various beliefs he likes to promote. Perhaps some of you might have seen the movie "Expelled" or heard of it's contents would know something about him. He was featured in the documentary as one the experts being interviewed for their viewpoint on evolution's origins. I'm not going into the controversy claims of what happened between Meyers and it's producers which happened before the film was released to the public, but I would like to give you some background on him...
Meyers was named after his grandfather, "Paul Zachary" but prefers just using the initials "PZ: instead. Born in 1957, he was raised in a "religious" home. It's unknown which religion his bio doesn't exactly specify, one could guess "Roman Catholic" or a liberal Protestant. As it was reported it was prior to his confirmation that he became an atheist. He graduated at Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology. He lost interest in this field and became very interested in evolutionary developmental biology and obtained a PHD in University of Oregon. He is married, and has a daughter who is doing her own thing in promoting atheism.
"ID gets credit for saying there are big, open questions in science. Scientists say this. It is not news. Go ahead, ask us, and we'll give you long lists of exciting research questions. They won't be invented or falsified controversies, as the DI (Discovering Institute) is fond of puking up..." PZ Meyers in his blog --June 23, 2008.
"A history of the anti-evolution "Intelligent Design" movement in the US, from the Scopes trial in 1925, through the rise of creation "science" in the 1980's, to the rise of intelligent design "theory" in the 1990's... Lenny Flank, Jr who describes himself as a Non-Leninist Marxist...
His crusade along with many militant atheists is confusing ID which stands for intelligent design, and creation science. Intelligent design goes basically with two principles. The first principle is irreducible complexity proposed by Michael Behe. His reasoning was on the basis of having interactive parts which were all depended upon each other for existence. If one part is modified, the entity no longer can exist. The second proposal by William Dembski called; "CSI" which stands for containing complex and specified information. This proposal states that the living cell for example has many specified parts with various specified functions which are highly organized in order for it to exist in the first place. The reasoning doesn't negate "irreducible complexity" but actually adds to it. In the lab ID scientists are generally looking for these two principles, nothing more. It doesn't try to explain life outside of it. Militant Atheists consider these two concepts the biggest threat to be taught in the public schools today because no attempt to define a designer such as "God" and experiments can be conducted in the lab in search of these two principles.
Militant Atheists are using the creation label to fight teaching about the two principles in public schools, claiming that's religion and not science. However, they are wrong, the two principles are a science, but the conclusions of naturalism and defining complexity with it's components are different. There is no question about it. But the main reason why militant atheists attack ID in calling it; "Creationism" is because of the church/state clause decision of 1947. If they can somehow use organizations like the ACLU to try and prove the complexity proposals are religious, then courts or school boards or even the State will generally deny it's teaching in the public schools. We will get more into the history and the religious impact on the United States with Richard Dawkins...
Myers: "It's so darned weird that they're demanding that I offer this respect to a symbol that means nothing to me." In response to his insulting the wafer in the Mass.
America, founded in secularism as a beacon of eighteenth century enlightenment, is becoming the victim of religious politics, a circumstance that would have horrified the Founding Fathers.
Born in 1941 in Nairobi, Kenya. Later on in his life, he studied zoology and graduated in 1962. He researched as a student under Tinbergen's (who is a Nobel Prize-winning ethologist) at the University of Oxford, receiving his M.A. and D.Phil. degrees in 1966. Dawkins has written a number of books including; The Selfish Gene, The Blind Watchmaker, and The God Delusion. He is a dedicated atheist activist in promoting evolution and secularism.
Jay Gould asserted that the only dissenters from macroevolution are protestant fundamentalists who believe that every word of the Bible must be literally true.
" Design is a workable explanation for organized complexity only in the short term. It is not an ultimate explanation, because designers themselves demand an explanation. Ultimately they must have evolved by gradual degrees from simpler beginnings."
-- Charles Dawkins in answer to why Atheists must secularize America, and his faith in naturalism in response to the most basic form of life being so complex.
